Someone on this board mentioned that using Strightflex tape was good for vaulted ceilings (which is what Im doing).
I had never heard of it but just today saw it at Depot. It says it can be second coated immediately. And the guy at the store said it holds a corner much better and is much easier to work with.
But... unfortunatley I cant trust the advice I get from the Depot near me.
Anyone have experience with this tape? Im doing a valuted ceiling and obviosuly want to make things easier and quicker.
If it canbe second coated immediatley, I can really cut time. Up near the ceiling I can probably get away with two coats anyway (16 feet up, no lights shining on it, painted all white) Im not looking to cut corners but the thought of dragging my self-made scaffold all over the floor for three coats is not very inviting.
So, does this stuff really help? What is so different about it that it can be second coated immediatley where regular tape cant?

It's great for off angles. which are angles other than 90 deg. If you bed it in quick set then yes you can coat it right away. But I bed it in all purpose and wait for it to dry. You can really get a straight line with it.
