Fluorescent is traditional, and if your ceilings are high enough nearly any fluorescent "strip" fixture will do. Overlap the fixtures a bit to eliminate any shadows where the fixtures come together.

If you are cramped for vertical space, you can use a "sidemount" fluorescent like this one:
