Looking to put a berber or similar carpet in a basement. What kind of pad should I use? I have found the basement to get damp in the summer and will run a humidifier as needed. Is one type of pad better than another for this type of application?

Thanks

pad is pad....no matter where you put carpet...if it lays damp then you may consider gluing it down...all depends how wet it gets....the best pad is always the best to use

Rebond cushion with an attached moisture barrier is going to be the most cost effective.

Some cushions will grow mold faster then others.
