I was woundering if any one knows if you can take the the guts out of a kohler 1.6 gallon (usa) and install the guts from a 3 gallon toilet (model) made for Canada. I know a number of people that have problems with Kohler toilets (have to flush twice) but my wife wants one because of the COLOR. I did notice Consumers reports ,didn't rate them to good either Any help welcome.

Not sure why you would want to do that. As far as the "guts", why not just put in a Fluidmaster 400A fill valve and a new flapper and be done with it? Good luck.
