New bathroom. Wall on outer rim of tub and at or below tub level is wet. HOw can I tell if this this from water collectring on tub edge or from leak higher up like at faucet or shower head?
I have opened the 2 inches of wall next to the tub edge wall and pulled the silicone and grout.I have no water marks on ceiling below.
Thanks

Best way might be to cut a hole in the drywall on the opposite side of the fixures wall (adjoining bedroom etc.) to see if any of the connections to shower / spout / faucets handles have failed.

If it were me I would assume the caulk was the problem. replace the piece you removed and caulk good.if there is tile grout good. I have really never seen a leak there that was caused by the shower head or the faucet.
What is on the wall tile, paint???? There should be a stud in the way that would prevent the water from shooting over there if that is what you are thinking. If there was enough force to shoot it there it would be a mess.
