hello,

I have a cieling fan which is about 2 1/2 years old. It has three lamps.

recently it started taking more than one pull of the chain to get the lights to go on, untill a couple of days ago, they stopped turning on altogether.

I first thought it may be the pull switch, but I had replaced it on another fan, and thought that they wouldn't "click" if it was the pull chain mechanism!

Well this one sounds (makes the "click") like it should work, but no light!
the fan works fine.

anyone who could help would be appreciated.

thanks,

luis

It's possible that one of the connections has come loose. The technique for finding it almost the same as replacing the switch. Be sure to carefully record all the connections before removing the switch, and buy an exact replacement, contacting the fan manufacturer if necessary.

Also check to see if the connection to the light kit is still good. Then you could also check the connection of the blue wire up at the ceiling. And if the fan has a remote control, other possibilities exist. I hope you also have checked the bulbs, and the wall switch.
