I have a 32 gal Bock oil fired hot water heater, it has a .75 nozzle. I was wondering if putting in a .65 would save fuel, the kids are gone and it’s just the wife and I. Thanks

Without knowing the burner set up I can't say if you could reduce the firing rate without running into problems or not. At a minimum, the air would have to be adjusted.

That burner is made by someone else & just labeled as Bock. Without knowing the manufacturer, I'm afraid I can't tell you if it can be downfired without problems or not. If you can get some pics of the burner from various angles, host them, & provide a link, I can probably figure out the manufacturer.

I do suggest you have someone do a combustion analysis on it. Sometimes downfiring drives CO way up.
