I have a Hampton Bay ceiling fan/light. At this moment the fan
is working well, but the light is not working at all. I have lost
its instruction booklet. Therefore, I do not know how I should
wire them up. Could you give me advices?
Here is my situation.

The Hampton Bay ceiling fan/ light has 1-black, 1-white,
1-light blue, and 1-green wires. The black and white are conected
to the fan motor and working. I suppose the green is for ground.
So the remaining wire is 1-light blue. From ceiling there are 3 wires
coming down. 1-black, 1-white, and 1-green. Since the black and white
are connected to the motor, I supposed I should connect the green from
ceiling to the light blue from the ceiling fan. But it does not work.

Thank you.

Green is ground, and connects to the ground in the ceiling box.

Blue is the light, and in your case, connects with the black.

Thank you for your advice.
But I still have a problem.
The remaining wire from the ceiling is green. The black wire
from ceiling is already connected to the motor and working fine.
Should I connect the blue wire from fan/ light fixture to the green
or connect it to the black with motor wire (meaning one black wire
from ceiling has two wires from the fixture)?

Never, ever, ever connect a bare or green wire to anything except another bare or green wire, or a green screw. Doing otherwise is a suicide attempt.

Connect the ceiling green wire to the fan green wire.

And, as classicsat already said, both the black and blue wires from the fan connect to the black wire from the ceiling.

Thank you for the advice.
I am still confused. If I connect green-fan wire to green-ceiling
wire, where is the ground connection?

If you connect these two green wires, that is the ground connection.

Et voila!
Thank you for your precious advices.
Finally, we have a working ceiling fan.
