Our home is about 40 years old. We have a sunroom that we would like to insulate the ceiling to minimize heat loss. It has heat base boards and our dogs live there for now so as to keep them separated in our two small children. Our goal is to make this a four season room eventually. My husband thinks it would be a great idea to rent a machine and blow in loose insulation above the ceiling so as to keep it warm, esp. with this winter coming up and the horribly high price of oil. The ceiling is made of wood panels and not drywall. I am assuming that we would need to remove a panel and just blow in the loose insulation inside. However, removing a panel is not as easy as we thought, as we found out today.

1. How can we remove a panel without destroying it, and hopefully put it back up after the job is done?
2. I read on the How To's from this website that sagging can be an issue due to the weight of the insulation. Should I be concerned with this if the ceiling is wood and not drywall?
3. Will a vapor barrier be necessary to lay down before placing the loose insulation?
4. Finally, he thought that since we wouldn't be able to put insulation on the panel we would take down, he thinks we can use a roll type insulation on the panel before replacing it back up on the ceiling. Good idea? bad idea? Any other better ideas?

Thank you in advance.
