We recently had a new kitchen sink & faucet installed. After the plumber left I was looking at the material that came with the sink and noticed that the instructions said to use the sealant enclosed with the sink, before putting the sink in. I didn't even know there was sealant included; the plumber didn't use anything -- he just plopped the sink in and ran a fine bead of sealer (?) around the edge of the self-rimmed top-mounted sink. Is this enough?
Today I sprayed water all around the sink & faucets to see if anything leaked, and discovered a couple large gaps in the sealer along the back edge of the sink. I'm calling the plumber back for that -- but I'm wondering if there's any need for me to have him redo the sink installation with sealer?
Also, he installed the sprayer in the far left hole and it's very inconvenient -- the directions & the picture on the box show it on the right, which is where I assumed he would put it. Is it reasonable to ask the plumber to fix that, too?
Thanks for any advice.
