Hey guys and gals,

I'm planning on updating my deck railings with aluminum/glass. It's a fairly small deck, 7 feet wide and about 20 feet length. Is this a fairly straight forward in installing this? Also, do places like Home Depot sell it?

You will need to use tempered saefy glass.

Aluminum shapes can be purchased from hardware stores and big boxes, but the selection is limited. It is best to go to a metal dupplier (yellow pages). There is a very large selection of aluminum shapes and extrusions in different sizes and types of aluminum. Most aluminum shapes can easily be cut to fit your design.

For something as small as a deck, most of the work will be DIY since the systems are developed for large projects.

Look in some or the architectural and/or outdoor living magazines for tropical or warm weather applications.
