Hi, Well, i made a Boo-Boo. Started to winterize my I/O, and forgot to turn the water on. So i have messed up the water pump. Do they make a kit for the Mercruiser Alpha 1 ? I am quite new to boating, and retired, and going to attempt to do the job myself. I am sure the rubber impeller is shot,
as i could smell it. I know the impellers are available separetly, but if there is a kit available i might as well do the whole thing. If available can you suggest who might have them? Thanks, Don

I'll quickly admit I don't know Mercruiser.... But... on my 351 Ford Pleasurecraft Marine engine... the "water pump" has no parts to wear out other than the impeller (well, the shaft bushing, but that's almost indestructible". I've replaced the impeller numerous times over the past 15 years but the housing assembly has remained the same - and is in perfect condition.
