I have a pier & beam which I have been told is extremely strong and the most stable they have seen (property inspector). There is no 'bounce' or movement at all. Regardless, I was told I should put hardiboard or 'float' my floor. Presently, after removing the existing flooring (vinyl) I have a solid plywood floor. Should I use hardiboard or 'float' my floor; or am I good to go with what I have? :confused:
