I am trying to locate some cermaic fire board. This is stuff that is somewhat soft but is a good refractory for my pellet stove. My current fire board is worn out and falling apart. My pellet stove is no longer made anymore so I must cut my own out. I have looked everywhere to find some with no luck. Thanks again, Jason

There are manufactured fire shields that are available. Concrete underlayment board spaced one inch from the wall can be used. This can be tiled over. Brick spaced from the wall can be used. Check your owner's manual for recommendations. Also, stop by a local hearth shop for options.
