I am starting to get my fireplace ready for the winter & when I was cleaning it out, i noticed that i have 2 bricks falling thru the floor of by fireplace. The two bricks are located parallell to a metal cleanup trap that is in the middle of the floor in my fireplace - - the cleanup trap goes to the ground under my house.

I am wanting to secure these bricks back & not have to worry about them falling through. Is there anything that I can do to securely hold them in place? I am not able to get underneath the fireplace so add anything there to support it. Would putting new mortar around the bricks be enough to hold them since there is nothing underneath them to rest on? The rest of the floor is supported underneath it, only these to bricks arent bcs they are on the edge of the cleanout trap.
