I have just bought a product called Attic Deck. it is a hard plastic grid type material secured to the 2x4's with wood screws over areas in my attic that have knob tube wiring. It does not touch any of the knob/tube and nothing will be placed over these areas, it's only there to walk safely in the attic.

It's open grid and allows the wires to breathe. Is this ok? Prefer a contractor or licensed electrician answer this inquiry if possible.

Thanks.

Since I'm not a contractor or licensed electrician, I won't answer your question. Have you tried contacting the attic deck manufacturer to see what they have to say?

No. But that's a good suggestion. I'll give them a try.

Thanks.
