I have been told to use a couple of drops of oil or PAM spray in my water when cutting porcelain tiles to ease the cutting process. Has anyone done this or heard of this before? Does it really work?
THANKS!! :)

I"m no expert, but I'l go out on a limb here.
No, it wouldn't help. I doubt "a couple of drops" of anything is going to sufficiently change the chemistry of the cooling water that you are useing.
However, in great enough quantities, the oil and or pam might eat away at the seals in the water pump you use (okay, it's a stretch). Of course, since the intake on my pump is at the bottom of the catch pan, it's unlikely that any oil or pam would even get sucked into the pump, since oil generally floats on water.

Buy a good quality porcelain blade and you won't have a problem. :D
