I am strongly considering a radiant barrier application in my attic to help block the sweltering heat in TX. If anyone has any first-hand experience with radiance (paint) or foil applications I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks, Steve

Check out this site for everything you ever wanted to know about radiant barriers. It will also tell you how to calculate if a radiant barrier will be a good deal or whether you will get more bang for the buck by adding more insulation.

Even on the gov post its not worth it.After the first year your return goes down hill with the radiant barrier. Go for the insulation and sure you have the right vents for your attic. Also an attic fan on a tstat works very good up there.
