I have an Amana Series 90 forced air gas furnace. The model number is GUD090X35A..a direct vent gas furnace. When trying to turn on the heat for the first time in fall we got no heat. The air conditioner still works, and the fan still works.
I have replaced the igniter already. When looking through the site glass window, I don't see any flames, nor do I see the igniter glowing. The thermostat indicates the heating system is on. It appears likely that it is an electrical problem of some sort...but I don't know what to do next...Is there a way to bypass the thermostat to eliminate it as a problem?
Help.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Thanks Jay,
There was something lodged in the small inducer fan...I took it out, cleaned it, put it back in, and resealed the connection with the PVC....
Now the furnace is running.
I really appreciate your help.
