:dogrun: Don't think i'm crazy yet. I'm putting an Olympic style gym in my garage but I do not plan to run wall to wall. The carpet will be 18x15 with pad and adhesive tape on concrete. My question is about the edges. I do not wish to roll and tack the edges as this may form more of a trip hazard and put holes in the floor ( I may move the gym to a yet to be remodeled room later) I was thinking I could neatly tape down the edges but I know that duct tape is not the correct product as it has shown to gum up after time. What kind of tape is used on sport courts and for stages? Is it Gaffers tape? What kind of tape do I need?

A rubber screen area rug pad. It will hold it in place on concrete. The double face tape is going to be a mess later.
