After I had gotten my go-kart back it was going much slower than before. How would I adjust the governor of a Tecumseh OHH60 6hp engine so it would be faster? I don't really know where it is located and I don't know many of the parts' names.
On the other go-kart, the carb. was hit by the other go-kart denting the bowl. I replaced the bowl but lost some pieces. I'm not exactly sure what I lost. I've got the brass piece (the float?) which is rather alrge and is a circle, The bowl, o-ring (?) that goes on top, and the small "needle" which connects to the "float" by a pin and goes into the hole the gas come out of. What else am I missing?

wouldn't adjust a tecumseh's governor, rods aren't too great. as for what you are missing, you have the float, needle, and what connects the needle to the float? don't think you said anything about the float pin, thats the pivot point for the float, holds it there as well. the float on one side has a place for a pin to go in. kinda like a hinge.

How much would adjusting the governor shorten the life span of the rod by? Is there any other way at achieving higher speeds?
