'm looking to get some big tires and rims for my go-kart. I'd like 12" rims since they are the biggest I've found. The biggest tire was 28X10X12. Basically I want the biggest tires I can get. I've only got 8 inch rims right now with 18X9.50X8 wheels on the rear on 6" rims with 170/70-6 (15X6X6) in the front. All the wheels have almost no treads. Almost slipped into a tree! I've looked around and found a site that sells 12" ATV rims. However, they are 5 bolt. Would they still work with my go-kart, which just connects to the actual go-kart and is secured with a nut? Does the width matterwhen choosing a size? In other words, could I use 21X11X8 on the rear rims I have now?

I was also wondering what the best treads would be that kick up dirt and have good traction on dirt.
