The washing machine fills with water and runs to the end of the washing cycle and then just sets there, no noise. I have pulled it apart and pulled the pump from the front of the motor shaft. The "pump" does turn by hand but has a lot of friction. The hoses are not clogged. What should I do next to test this?

Maybe a bad lid switch.
