Sorry if this is already answered somewhere, but I could not find this simple answer anywhere.

I just had a concrete block retaining wall built on the hill behind my house. They did not finish the top so it is just the blocks and mortar- kind of ugly looking. I wanted to top it off with the rounded cement/concrete top that I see so often in my area (SoCal) and am confused with exactly what cement or concrete mix i should use to do this. I am an experienced DIY'er- just no cement experience.

If you are in the LA area, contact either Orco Block or Angelus Block. They may the have units to cap the wall or they could steer you toward a dealer the sells their products or other products.

If you are in the San Diego area, contact RCP Block for the same information.

All 3 companies are some of the better block companies in the country and are well equipped to help you.
