I have replaced the heating element and the 2 fuses in line with it and I still can't get it heat up. With the leads not attached to the element I get a 240 volt reading across them, with the leads attached to the element I get a 258 volt reading. Any ideas on where to look next?

thanks

jimmy

Hey,
you need to give more info on this situation, like is the motor running, have you tested the element for continuity.Model#ser#Make? There all basically the same but this info helps. :coffee:

Model number is 110.60612990, Make is 3556123 Heavy Duty, Super Capacity.
When the switch is on Normal Dry- High heat, the meter reads as if both terminals are on the same phase. In Permanent press-high heat it reads the 258 volts I spoke of earlier when attached to the element and 240 when they are disconnected. Continuity on the element is good, Its right out of the box and the thermal fuses are as well. The 5000 ohm resistor from the timer switch gets pretty warm as well while its running. Motor runs great, and its blowing too. Thanks for the help.
