I have a Frigidaire Side by side refrigerator, Model# FRS26F4CB2 that I
bought early last year. Now I live in a Double wide mobile home and bought a installation kit from Lowes to connect the water. It came with a small plastic or rubber line that I ran from the water line under the sink to the frigiderator.
I have never had great water pressure, but it has made ice up unyil a few days ago. I do have water coming from the frigiderators water source in the front, but no ice. I bought it in march 2004 and hadn't replaces the filter.
I did go buy a new today, but still no ice.

Can anyone help me or offer some advice?

Thanks, Danny in Texas

You might try to switch the leads [if possible]on the 2 fill solenoids on the fill valve on the back so the ice maker fill serves the water dispenser and visa versa. Then open the freezer door , hold down all the switches as if the door was closed and try to get some water. Watch the fill tube of the ice maker if water comes out change the ice maker solenoid. If not it could be the valve itself is stuck or a number of assorted reasons that will require replacing the whole valve.

Also make sure there is not ice where the fill tube comes into the freezer and dispenses the water iinto the tray preventing the water from flowing.

Thanks for the info.
I pulled out the frig last night and checked things out.
First thing was that the main water line to the frig is getting water to that connection. There is a valve or plastic piece directly behind it, that has two connections. One is for the water dispenser in front, and it has water coming
thru it. The other connection, in which that line goes up to the ice maker has no water coming out of it. I thought about switching the two, but the connections are different sizes.

Is the double connection some sort of vavle ? Its just wierd that the left side has water , but the other side doesn't.

Any advice or help ?

Thanks again.

Check the continuity [unplug the ref] of the 2 prongs that don't work. if there id no continuity get a new solenoid if there is get a new valve.

you can use an extension cord to apply 120 volts to the 2 prongs that go to the ice maker.Cut off the female :cheshire: end and attach some connectors to it[depot] the attach it to the prongs and then plug it in. If there is continuity and the water doesn't flow change the whole valve.

Just reread the last post. I am not talking about changing the water tubes, but the electrical connections.

WHAT IS THE MODEL # OF THE REF.AND HOW OLD.?

I'm not sure what you mean by continuity!
I saw the two electrical connections behind the double valve, one for water dispenser and one for the ice maker(I quess).
I'm not sure about plugging in a extension cord and continuity.
Hows that work?
Can I just look at the connections and see if they are corroded?
I don't have the model# with me here at work, but its a side by side 26.0
and was bought in March 2004.

see if this helps. It is pretty simple. Make sure the ref is unplugged when testing continuity. Continuity just means they are no broken wires in the solenoid.
