OK so I'm trying to be thrifty. I have an enormous amount of bubble wrap. I also am in the process of remodeling an old home. Is there any thing that I can use this bubble wrap for? It's the plastic stuff - you know - that people like to pop. I have tons and tons of it. I live in central Alabama - hot and humid summers and relatively temperate winters. Could I use it for floor, wall, or attic insulation or may be even housewrap. I am about to brick a new addition.

Let the kids play with it and pop the bubbles.
Use normal building materials.
Housewrap is out unless you can find a way to tape all the bubbly seams.
Insulation value probably is not all that good compared to other insulating products that use dead air. The bubbles are not really dead air from an insulation standpoint, but it is better than nothing.

After reading the replies (especially wonderjerk's) I did a little research on my own. It appears that the stuff I have on my hands is very useful for exactly what I asked about. Here is the website where it shows rolls and rolls of this very expensive stuff: www.radiantbarriers.com.
Wanting to make sure that I had the correct info before I tried to salvage my dignity. I checked with three federal contractors. Two of them use this stuff for exactly what I asked. One uses it in every new military Armory and school as an energy conservation effort, especially important in the Deep South. It appears this stuff was left over after a school construction where I bought the "scraps." I recently put this on my roof between the roof decking and the tin roof.
I would suggest to you (WS) that you research these posts at least somewhat before you jump to conclusions and try to make yourself feel more like a real man. I guess most of us have genitalia between our legs that lets us know we are men and do not have to resort to belittling.
Good luck in your future replies!!! ;)
