Hello!! My very first post! I've learned alot here. Thanks!

I have an early 1900's bungalow, freshly gutted upstairs with lots of insulation and a new ridge vent, with a 4 foot kneewalls. Behind the knee walls are the 6" floor joists with planking nailed to each joist. Somebody wanted to use the space for storage. I want it to fend off the utility company! Underneath the planking, behind the kneewalls and between the joists is loose fill cellulose with no vb. Question: I will add r50 on top of the planking. With that amount of insulation on top, can I/should I add a poly sheet v.b. on top of the planks? Before the renovation, our house would get arid during the heating season. The heating folks said the moisture was getting carried out through the roof, and that our new $500 furnace humidifier was indeed working. I would like to keep the heat and moisture in the house. Thanks!
