my 100 year old house has parts of the floor that sags, and I found a couple of actual holes under the carpet in a couple of spots. One hole is accessible by going into the basement, but the other hole is over a crawlspace. I don't know if the floor (after we pull up the carpet) should be sanded or new wood put down. The floors upstairs are sound. Any suggestions? We'd like to put down Pergo flooring, but would the floor withstand it or should we just have the floors rebuilt.

Thanks,

Weyr :wall:
