My 3yo Maytag dishwasher is completely dead. It completed it's last wash and now does nothing.
I pulled the bottom panel and checked the power. Its got elec.
When you push the membrain buttons you get nothing. So I plan on pulling the door panel off and checking the switch.
I also see a therma-resister at the bottom of the motor assembly.
I don't see anything else it could be other than the control board. I hate to replace that without knowing for sure.
I also hate to wakeup the the maytag repairman.

Appliances are pretty much disposable these days. If you can't fix it on your own, I'd consider just replacing it.

Dishwashers are not disposable. :thumbdn:
Check the door switch. The full current of the DW runs through it and it is common for it to go bad.

I noticed that the button lights have a faint glow when you push some of them and the door is latched.
I wonder if that means that the switch is doing it's job. In other words the door switch should either work or not work instead of barely work.
