Hi, I would appreciate some opinions on this one, please. We have an unfinished home in central Michigan. The footing depth requirement here is 42 inches. The basement is poured wall concrete with a 4 inch brick ledge. The face brick has been completed. Will it harm the brick and mortar to NOT have heat in the home this winter?

Hubby seems to think it should be heated. I would rather not heat it if not necessary. Geez, hate to have to heat two places this winter. Can anyone give their expertise on this one. Thanks. Karen
