I went out and bought the floor fix kit w/ the break off screws... attempted to screw one of the treads down from the top (can not access from underneath) however, it doesn't seem that I am hitting the middle stringer (if there is one). Should I just put a few of those screws on the front of the tread down into the riser and the stringers on each side? Just don't want to be putting a ton of holes into the tops of my stairs.
