I have read the other posts regarding the problem of Kenmore dryers not heating. However, they have not helped with my problem.

I replaced the therma fuse in my dryer a couple of weeks ago. Right after we changed the fuse, the dryer worked fine. However, yesterday it stopped heating again. The thermal fuse is blown once again. The vents are clear, the outstide vent is open and clear. Plenty of air is blowing through, however it continues to blow the thermal fuse.

Do you have any other suggestions on why this keeps happening?

Thanks in advance for your help; I just had to replace the transmission in my car, so I don't want to buy a new dryer!

Something is obviously overheating. I would check the thermostats to make sure they were opening when they were supposed to.see if this page helps.

Put your model number in on this site and then search for thermostats the images will locate them for you.the fuse is not the problem more likely a thermostat imo. May look like this

This assumes that the whole venting system is clear.

Thank you. Everytime I ask the question to anyone I get the answer to check the vents. And they are clear. We will check the thermostat now. I will let you know how it goes. Thanks  again.
