Anyone know what the price difference is between hardwood and laminate flooring?
Any preferences with hardwood companies?
Thanks!!!!

Prices vary from area to area. It depends on the brand, quality and manufacturers incentives. Go to a home store and and they will have laminates and hardwoods in stock with pricing. A lot of them offer installation and you could get an estimate for your use.

Of course you should do what R.L. suggests. But here's the results of my investigations:
For the raw materials (i.e., without installation), laminates run from about $2 to $4 per square foot. The most commonly installed laminates are about $3 per square foot.

Prefinished hardwood runs about $5 to $7 per square foot for oak. Other hardwoods are usually a little more expensive.

Unfinished hardwood runs about $4 to $5 per square foot for oak.

Your results may vary, but this will get you in the ballpark.

As for brands, I'm a big fan of Manningtons Gold Series. Nice stuff!
