Hello,
I have a '98 Roper refridgerator. After hurricane Rita I noticed a salty chemical taste coming from my fridge water line. This is not noticeable from the other water faucets throughout the house.
Has anyone ever encountered this? Is there a way to flush out the water line on a refridgerator?
Thanks,
Joey

Run as much water through it as you can (a few gallons) in a reasonable time and taste it again. If it is still salty check the source for salt (where you refrigerator hooks up to your water supply). If the water source isn't salty I'm not sure what the next step would be after that however.
