Hi, I'm not sure what brand of rocker recliner it is, but it is one of the overstuffed cloth ones(Lazy Boy?) with wood boards or bars across the bottom. One of the wooden boards has broken and I would like to repair it but not sure how to begin. Can someone help me on this? :) I would hate to throw the chair away because it is soooo comfortable, it lies just about flat and I have taken many a nap in it!

The wood boards are the seat cushion support or the rocker/recliner base?

Hi Slick, sorry I didn't get back before. Too much on the old plate! Umm I think it is part of the base. It goes in a kind of H shape with the middle of the H missing.

I was thinking Lay Z boy over stuffed cloth meant no wood was showing, per say
It looks like a big ol' recliner
These have wood in the base (That touches the floor), and wood in the frame that is not really visible (that the metal mechanisms, springs, and upholstery is attached to)

Or is this a wooden rocker, with a visible wood base, wood rocker mechanism, wood arms and seat, but with stuffed cushions on it?

Hi Slick! It's definetly a rocker recliner, not a rocking chair. One of the really big, overstuffed rocker recliners with a wooden handle at side to open the recliner up so that you can lay back.

Hmmm...
Usually those are a metal mechanism mounted to a wood base
Then the chair itself is an upholstered wooden frame
If it's not the base, and it's not the chair frame, I can't picture where a wood H would be
I'd be surprised if the wood was part of the r/r mech, but I guess it could be

OK first of all I again apologize for not getting back on here sooner. Studying for nursing school! There is a very kind man(neighbor of mine)who came over and looked at the chair. He said that part of the wood frame was rotten and recommended that I just toss the chair. Bawwwwww!! but sometimes I guess that's the way it goes. This chair does have a history of being out on someone's back porch for a while before I acquired it(for free). Oh well, thank you for all of your help!
