We have installed 3/4" hardwood floors before, and we have been very happy with the results. We're now moving to a house that needs new floors, and due to budget constraints, we are considering a 5/16" product. We've looked at the Bruce Natural Reflections line. We're also considering a product by Westhollow that is only available from the online retailers like iFloor.com.
The Westhollow price is awesome, and it sounds good. iFloor.com tells us that it is a select grade with an 8-coat aluminum oxide finish. iFloor.com says that the Westhollow price is lower than Bruce's because Westhollow spends less on advertising. I've searched all over the web, and information about this product is scarce.
I'd love to hear your opinions aobut Westhollow or 5/16" floors in general. Great deal or buyer beware? Thanks!
