Looking for ideas & opinions here. I am to remodeling work, so any advice is appreciated!
The second floor porch floor of my duplex needs new flooring. There was a vinyl/canvas flooring that turned gross that I ripped up, revealing a wood floor. I was hoping to be able to be able to just put a finish on the wood, but there are too many nails in it for that to work.
I am looking for a CHEAP solution.
It was suggested to me to lay plywood over the top of the existing wood. Then cover the plywood with roll roofing.
I am looking for opinions on this and also advice on how to complete this project. Like I said, I have never done anything like this before so any & all advice is appreciated.

one more thing, the porch is covered but is open on three sides so it does get a lot of snow/rain. It is also slightly sloped for drainage.
