I recently had my wood floors refinished. sanded, two coats stain and two coats poly satin finish. When I ruun my hand over them I can feel the grain has raised. I called the refinishing company and told them and they want to charge me extra to come back and re-screen and top coat. They said no one knows if the grain will raise or not. I told them I build furniture, and no matter how old the wood is, the grain always raises after appling stain or poly. Am I wrong? The floors are oak and about 40 years old. They were in pretty bad shape and VERY dry. Thanks
