hi! i'm building a deck for my 24 ft. above ground pool. what i want to know is should the floor boards go above or below the pool edge. i've seen pictures of it above and below but not sure what is better. my thinking is if it's below, then you might trip over it. if it's above it would protect the pool right? so people don't step on it and bend? any help would be great. this sight rocks!!!

I used to have an above ground pool. My deck was above the edge of the pool. You don't have to be as precice with the cuts on the deck boards and it also protects the top lip of the pool.

Above works to protect the metal edge of the pool. Just leave yourself enough clearance below the joists so that you can remove the metal to change the liner when the time comes.
