I have hardwood floor in a large area. I do not know anything about the floor 'cause it is a new construction. I am wondering what should I do to protect the floor from demaging? Do I need to wax it or not? What should I do? Show me some clues, thanks.

Hi Happy,
You need to find out from the contractor whether the floor is hardwood or laminate. Have just had laminate installed and was told that wax cannot be used on this type of flooring. They suggest a mild cleaner with a damp cloth and wipe dry. There are cleaners available for laminate.

Whatever it is, don't wax it.
