We are getting ready to sell our home. My husband who is not the do-it-yourselfer says the hardwood floors need to be re done. I wonder if I, The do-it-yourselfer, could save us some money by just refinishing them. Theyhave been beat up pretty bad. Mostly just scuff marks that I get up with light sanding. Is this something that I would be able to do with some guidence (do-it-yourself book) or should we just pay someone to come in and redo. Any feedback would be great!

Pay someone. Do not do anything else. If you do not have the right equipment or knowhow, do not tackle this especially if you are getting ready to sell your home.
