I have an open design in my kitchen, dining, and living room. A hallway to a bathroom separates the dining room and living room. I have a taupe color on right hand side of hallway (living room). On left side of hallway starts my dining room and continues on to the kitchen. I have decided on a burgundy color for the kitchen and dining room, but where should I end the taupe color? There at the hallway, or should I continue it to the corner of the dining room to the wall that continues to the kichen before I start the burgundy? Wish I could post a picture to show what I'm talking about. I took one, but the site doesn't allow attachments I think. What should I do? Helppp!!!!

you can post a link to a picture that you've got posted on a website or photoplace, like photobucket or yahoo pictures, etc. (not that i know how to do that, mind you!) or you can try to sketch it out like this:
___________....___________
|...............|...|.................|
|...............|...|.................|
|......Kit.....|...|....Dining.....|
|...............|...|.................|
|................hall.................|
________________________|
just remember to use dots as spacers, or else it all gets mushed together.
or describe your layout using terms like north, south, east & west walls.
cuz right now, i don't have a clue what you're talking about!!! :)
if you want to sketch it out by hand, you can fax it to me. PM me and i'll give you my fax number.

It is usually recommended that the one wall shared by two areas be painted one color. Adjoining walls in the two different areas can be painted a different color if desired.
