I'm really sick of having hard, scratchy towels, how can I get them to be soft without having a dryer?
I don't use softner because i've read that this stops them from absorbing water. The towels wern't really cheap, just normal and I either dry them outside on a line or inside on a rack.
Any tips? Anyone out there use softner on towels?
Thanks! :p

Terry cloth towels dried outside on the line tend to be stiff because they have not been fluffed as they dry. In lieu of using fabric softener, you can add a cup of white vinegar to your rinse cycle to soften, deodorize, and minimize lint problems. Again, towels dried on the line will tend to dry stiff. If you have a dryer, once you bring towels indoors, toss in dryer for a couple minutes to soften and fluff.
