I have duette style (honeycomb) shades in my living and dining rooms and took them down to wash. One (of 8) tore at the seam (horizontal). It looks like they are glued (not sewn) to assemble. Anyone have any experience with repairing these?

THANKS!

well, if no one else pipes up with advice, i think i'd try fabric glue.

or you can try to call HD directly & ask them for advice.

if you cleaned them per their instructions and they tore, maybe they'll replace it. especially if they're still pretty new and/or under warranty.

did you purchase them locally? maybe ask the store about repair/replacement?

I know that Hunter Douglas had a problem a number of years ago with Duettes seperating. If it was manufactured during that time, they will replace it. If it's only one seam, take Annette's advice.
