Does anyone have any advise on how to add sheers to existing vertical blinds? I love the privacy look of the soft sheer verticals with the fabric between the panes. I invested quit a bit of money into my existing verticals and am not ready to take them down. I would like to find a solution to add the sheer fabric look. All replies are greatly appreciated.
Thanks

i'm not sure i understand what you're wanting to do, and i can't see that picture clearly. are the vertical vanes a solid fabric and there is sheer fabric webbed in between the vanes? or are the vanes themselves sheer fabric & you're wanting to change out your solid ones for sheer ones?

I wanted the same thing. I have vertical blinds, but I didn't like their blah features. I went to Lowe's Home Improvement and they had a cover for sale (about $85.00) that the vertical slats slide into of an existing vertical blind install. It's just a cover; you place your vertical slats into.
I cannot find a product online to link for your viewing. However, there are sheer covers available for vertical blinds without having to replace the whole blind unit.

Check out a product called Ado-Wrap (or AdoWrap). It is designed to slipcover existing vertical blinds to give you that sheer drapery look. It may also give you some ideas on making your own covers if you can sew.
