Hanging pictures . . . do I center them on the WALL or above the loveseat which is NOT centered on the wall due to a small end table?? I'm hanging 3 pieces of art work.

This is going to be a personal preference. I see some of the decorating shows on TV and totally disagree with some of their ideas. (But then again I am a Plumber). I prefer centered on the wall. The loveseat may be moved so then you have to move the pictures. Since you have 3 pictures, you are also faced with a choice of 3 in a row, 3 diagonally or 3 staggered in a triangle type position. Lots of options. I have a problem letting other people tell me what I like. Good luck.

I agree with majakdragon...it IS a matter of personal preference, but I tend to lean heavily towards centering them on the wall, not centering them based upon furniture placement that could change.

i think the pictures should be centered above the loveseat. just because the loveseat/picture grouping won't be exactly centered on the wall is of no consequence. the pictures should relate to whatever is below them. think of the sofa, table, & pictures above as a grouping.
later if you move the loveseat, move the pictures, too.

I think you can see there is no right answer, you're going to have to figure out what is the right answer for you. By the way, I go for centering on the wall.

Well, my wife always centers the sofa on the wall, so centering the pics is always a given. :D

The loveseat, table, and pictures are all part of one grouping and complement each other. Lay pictures on floor to determine how you would prefer to see them hanging on the wall. Once that is decided hang above the furniture grouping.
