to make a long story short, i got vomit on my leather jacket over a vacation. i tried cleaning most of it with water and paper towel but since i cannot take it to the cleaners because it takes them one week to get it cleaned, i thought i'd take care of it when i get home.

now that i'm home, i checked out prices at the special leather cleaner place and it cost about $40. is there a home remedy or even a product that i can buy from walmart so i can do it myself? thank you in advance. :)

You can try DIY products from retail stores. But in this instantance i would reccomend professional cleaning. There are many different finishes and types of leather. Using the wrong product on them can cause permanent damage. $40 bucks sounds rather cheap in comparison to buying a DIY product, taking a risk with it and then maybe having to spend the 40 anyways. Protein or enzyme based products will not work in this instance as they break down organic material...meaning it would also try to break down the leather.
