I'm not even sure if such a thing exists, but if it does, I want some.
I am going to redo my toolbox storage area and want to have a series of cupboards, each big enough for one or two of my various boxes (18" H x 24" W) and wanted to have it so that each door could be opened separately so it would fold downwards and turn into a shelf, sturdy enough to allow me to slide the boxes out onto it.
Trouble is, I have no idea whether or not such a hinge/latch exists to let me do this. Can anyone suggest anything please?
Regards,
David.

I'd use a piano (continuous) hinge together with the type of drop down supports found in secretaries...use a support on each side for extra strength.
Don't use a regular lid support - they have a locking mechanism (to hold a lid UP) that makes it inconvenient to close the unit.
