Electronic Alarms and Home Security Devices - Problem after reset of Z1100

I recently bought a house with an existing Moose Z1100 alarm system. Didn't get the PAC from the previous owner but did manage to restore the system defaults using the reset procedure. The problem I have is with the "Monitor" feature. Before I did the reset, the Monitor was on and the system would beep 3 times whenever a door/window was opened. Now, when I enable the Monitor, the system beeps for about 20 seconds or until the door/window is shut. I can't find any documentation on how to shorten the Monitor beep time.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

I've run into this on systems that lost AC power with a weak backup battery. The Address you need to look at is Address 000 and 001. This is the loop response time setting, and on the old Moose Z panels could be set for a really long time span. The correct settings should be 002 and 008 respectively.

The first and most important question is: Do you have a Moose z1100 programming manual? You _will_ need one to even follow the instructions.

What type of moose is it, the walk through is fairly simple to change these two settings, you'd just have to follow the directions exactally or you risk doing damage to the program.

Sorry it took me so long to get back to this. I was actually able to follow the steps listed before, after I posted, I just got a little confused before I decided to take my time with it.
